This had to be one of my all time favorite weddings as a photographer. A beautiful location, perfect fall weather, and one of the most photogenic families I have ever met!

I’ve never met a bride who was so calm and in control of her wedding plans. Even on the day of the wedding, Rose was the most relaxed person in the church! Paul however was on the other end of the spectrum. Like most guys, he needed a little coaxing to come out of his shell and relax for his photos. Fortunately, Paul’s groomsmen were a bunch of improv comedians – the kind that make the church wedding coordinator nervous. They were able to keep Paul laughing and his mind off of the upcoming event.

It was magic when the church doors opened and the couple made eye contact for the first time that day. You could tell from their gentle smiles that this couple was truly in love. It’s amazing to see how two people can light up a room together.

I love outdoor weddings! Tons of natural light, fresh air and great views as a backdrop for the bride and groom. Bernadette and Addison’s wedding had all of that and more! Being late in the fall afternoon, the setting sun gave their wedding photos that warm glow that echos the lifelong love that this couple shares. The ceremony in the courtyard at The Ranch Golf Club provided spectacular views of San Jose outlined by the perfectly manicured fairways – a perfect backdrop for a beautiful ceremony.

As the evening continued, the newlyweds were serenaded by a full mariachi band which entertained the crowd through cocktail hour and into dinner. Of course, no wedding reception would be complete without a lively speech from the best man that has everyone laughing one minute and in tears the next. And as you can see from the final photo in the series, the bride and groom were surrounded by a lively and hilarious group of friends and family that made my job of capturing the wedding day incredibly fun!

It’s been said that “The coldest winter I ever saw was the summer I spent in San Francisco.”  While true of this July afternoon, the fog of the San Francisco summer just added to the romance and beauty of this wedding. The fog It certainly did not dampen the sprits of the Bride and Groom who exchanged their vows on the patio of the historic Cliff House, overlooking the magestic Pacific and Ocean Beach.
